Academy

Festival Napa Valley is continuing a pre-professional orchestral training program called Festival Napa Valley’s Blackburn Music Academy. These young musicians (college-age and young professional) were chosen competitively from all over the US. For the most part, their rehearsals and concerts will be completely independent of ours, but some of the Academy musicians will have the opportunity to work directly with us. They will augment our string sections, and some will be used to complete the wind, brass, and percussion sections for the big repertoire we are playing.
