Rehearsal Friday September 11th 3:30-6:00pm (outdoors)
Performance Friday September 11th 7:30pm – CONCERT (indoors, quartet starts 7pm)

Concert Dress

Men:  Black tux black bowtie
Women:  Concert black either pants or long skirt

Directions and Parking

The concert will be held at the Merced Theatre, 301 W Main St. Merced, CA 95340. The concert will have 25 minute blocks with enough time between so the air can clear.  Parking can be found behind the theater, with a stage entrance from the parking lot into the theater.

Meal – September 11th

Dinner is not provided before the concert on Sept 11 between services.  A meal allowance is provided; we suggest bringing a dinner along.


Payroll procedures have changed.  You will be paid by my entity Tessitura Services on the evening of the concert.  Most everybody will have to fill out a W9 form and return to me. Paychecks will not be issued without a W9.


This performance will be streamed for broadcast and potentially for marketing and development purposes.

Safety Protocols 

  • Coordination and consultation with county health officials
  • Consultation/recommendations and following common strategies of ICSOM orchestras
  • Only string players in the ensemble, no winds, brass or other instruments that would require lots of breathing in and out
  • Maximum 20 musicians
  • Spacing between players, no shared stands
  • Masks required at all time
  • Rehearsal outdoors with spacing and masks
  • Filming indoors max 25 minutes at a time in a location with time in between to circulate air
  • Temperature taken at start of rehearsals, no sick individuals permitted (questionnaire to be sent in advance of rehearsals)
  • Sanitizing of stands and other equipment
  • Enforced social distancing
  • Carpooling discouraged
